module 8 video review

1. Explain why you selected the video you choose from the selection listed above.

I chose the video The Greek Awakening: Art from the 5th Century BC because I think greek art is interesting and I wanted to learn more about the art that was made in the BC era .

2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.

In the first video, How Art Made The World 1- More Human Than Human, I learned that the statue of Venus is made out and how much its worth. It is made of limestone and it is worth $60 million. I also learned that seagulls can explain the shape of the venus willendorf. I also learned that the styles of the Egyptians do not change. In the second video The Greek Awakening: Art from the 5th Century BC i learned that in greece people were always the center of life, the center of religious life and as well as social life. They say it's because they thought of themselves as gods rather than regular humans.

3. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?

The videos relate to the readings in the text because they spoke about the artwork that was in the book both videos  describes the significance of art and how it changed in different ages.

4. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?

I think both films were education and gave me a better understanding of threadings as well as the art concepts
