A.) Which artworks make an impact or impression on me? Why?
|
Albert Bierstadt The Marina Piccola, Capri, 1859 Oil On Canvas |
Yves Tanguy. Divisibilite indefinie (Indefinite Divisibility), 1942. Oil on canvas. |
Both of these paintings made an impression on me because how vivid they look. The marina painting such a 3D affect and makes me feel like i can grab the boat in the back even the clouds. The second painting is very vivid and the colors seem so fresh and new. The shadow in the background is my favorite because it's so detailed.
B.) Which artworks do I feel a connection with? Why
Yasuo Kuniyoshi I Think So 1938 Oil On canvas |
Amedeo Modigliani La Jeune Bonne (The Servant Girl Ca.198 Oil on canvas |
I had a connection with both of these paintings because the "I think so" painting makes me think of how I end my day rip my bra off and relieve my stress . The "La Jeune Bonne" the grey eyes in the painting is how I feel right now , college has sucked my soul out.
C.) Which artworks would I like to know more about? Why?
George Benjamin Luks The Trappers Daughter, Ca.1920 Oil on canvas |

I love your comment on the piece "I think so" because that feeling of relief is so real. You seem to have an interesting take on how you internalize the themes of some of the pieces and I enjoyed reading your interpretations of each piece.
ReplyDeletethese are great pieces to choose to talk about.
